· How does Jane Austen make readers laugh? What is the source and nature of her humor? One of the best ways to proceed is to find as many passages that make one laugh, or at least smile. Make a list. Look for patterns. Can they be classified into groups?
Jane Austen makes the reader laugh in several different ways. I think Jane has different types of humor with all the characters like Jane is more of an oblivious character and she does not think anyone does anything wrong she is a sheltered type of person. Mr Bennett has also his own sense of humor and it is pretty funny the way he reacts toward things that are thrown his way like when Mrs. Bennett wanted him to introduce there daughters to Mr Bingley and Mr Bennett did not want to take the type to talk to him because he said that he probably would have no interest in his daughters. I feel like Mr Bennett enjoys making Mrs. Bennett upset. i dont know if they can be classifed in groups because they all have some type of different humor. Mrs bennett has a hopeless type of humor and she judges everyone.
